Expeditions 4x4

The 4X4 expeditions in Costa Rica allows you to drive your own 4x4 modified vehicle by routes with an intermediate level of difficulty or to accompany us in a staff vehicle, which gives you the freedom to arrive and camp in unmatched places, but always in the safety of our local team.

A minimum of 2 vehicles is required for this expedition and maximum of 8 vehicles. Due to the its detailed organization, you must always be accompanied by our local team.

An eleven day circuit along the northern region of the country, covering mountains, beaches and the contrast of climates, landscape and temperature.

•Rincón de La Vieja Volcano area

• Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in San Jose

Day 2: San José - Poás Volcano - Laguna de hule - Sarapiquí

Day 3: Sarapiquí- Boca Tapada

Day 4: Boca Tapada -Fortuna

Day 5: Fortuna – Rincón de la Vieja

Day 6: Rincón de la vieja – Minas Beach

Day 7:  Minas Beach – Samara

Day 8: Samara – Tambor

Day 9: Tambor – Tulín

Day 10: Tulín - San José

Day 11: Airport

1  staff vehicle  with the necessary equipment for any eventuality.

1 One guide + 1 assistant.

Parismina Canals
(Caribbean  coast, much less touristy than Tortuguero)
• Arenal volcano area
• Pacific Coast and Drake Bay
• Région du Volcan Turrialba et Volcan Irazu

A 15-day tour that allows you to discover both the Caribbean and the Pacific coast through part of the central volcanic mountain range of the country.

Day 8: Costa de Pájaros –  Tulín

Day 9: Tulín – Uvita

Day 10:  Uvita –  Drake Bay

Day 11: Drake Bay

Day 12: Bahía Drake – Providencia

Day 13: Providencia – Turrialba

Day 14: Turrialba – Irazú – San José

Day 15: San José - Airport

Three weeks of travel, with routes of various levels of difficulty, where we can travel a large part of Costa Rica and enjoy the contrasts of both the Caribbean and the Pacific Coasts.

Day 5: Fortuna - Rincón de la Vieja Volcano

Day 6: Rincón de la Vieja - Santa Rosa National Park (beach)

Day 7: PN Santa Rosa - Tamarindo (beach)

Day 8: Tamarindo - Nicoya Peninsula

Day 9: Nicoya Peninsula – Monteverde or Pájaros

Day 10: Monteverde - Manuel Antonio National Park  (beach)

Day 11: Free day in Manuel Antonio (beautiful  beach, waterfalls, Canyoning)

Day 12: Manuel Antonio - Drake (Osa Peninsula)

Day 13: Corcovado National  Park  (Sirena area or Caño island)

Day 14: Drake - San Vito (hacienda la Amistad)

Day 15: Tour in protected zone “Las Tablas”

Day 16: Tour in protected zone “Las Tablas” - Altamira

Day 17: Altamira - San Gerardo de Dota

Day 18: San Gerardo de Dota - Turrialba

Day 19: Turrialba rafting (level 3-4)

Day 20: Turrialba – South Caribbean

Day 21: South Caribbean – San José  (Cahuita National Park, Bribri indigenous community)

Day 22: South Caribbean – San José

Day 23: San José - Airport
