After breakfast we will complete the formalities of renting the vehicles and head towards the Poas Volcano region. Little by little we will leave the asphalt roads to make some easy tracks to get familiar with the vehicles. The route will take us through wonderful views such as the Laguna de Hule (old volcanic crater). Our route continues through mountainous and agricultural landscapes of the region.

After lunch we will continue our route to the northern part of the country. This time it is the red dirt tracks that will take us to the Boca Tapada region, which is located on the edge of the San Carlos River very close to the northern border of the country.  It is an ideal place for bird watching and known especially for being the nesting place of the Green Macaw (Ara ambigua).

Morning hike to discover the rich biodiversity of the region within the trails of the Lodge’s private reserve.

Departure to the Arenal Volcano region. This volcano is known for its unique shape and for being one of the most famous destinations in Costa Rica. In the surroundings of the colossus are many possible activities for the enjoyment of visitors, from suspension bridges to natural hot springs.

The Arenal Volcano region offers a wealth of activities for all tastes. This free day will allow you to discover the biodiversity by taking the hanging bridges through the primary forest, venture into the waters of the Arenal Lake or enjoy the relaxing hot springs coming from the volcano.

A day of adventure in 4×4! The day starts with some small crossings of roses and some more technical tracks between Lake Arenal and the small town of Tilaran.

On route small villages, regions with pastures and fattening cattle, as well as several fields used for electric power. On clear days we can easily observe the volcano Tenorio and Miravalles.

Morning to discover the volcanic activity of the Rincon de la Vieja National Park.

A 3 km hike in the Las Pailas sector where, through the dry tropical forest, we will observe closely the activity of this volcano. At the end of the hike, we will resume the route towards the surroundings of Tamarindo, where we will have the afternoon free to enjoy the beautiful beaches of the Costa Rican Pacific coast.

Possible free time in the morning to enjoy Playa Tamarindo. Then, we return to the road to begin our descent towards the Nicoya Peninsula. En route, we will take a trail that will take us to the highest point of the peninsula where we can see both the Gulf of Nicoya and the entire Pacific coast.

We will continue our way to Playa San Miguel, where we will find our next hotel just a few steps away from the white sandy beaches.

We will dedicate our day to discover the Nicoya Peninsula. Depending on the weather, the time of year and even the tides, the Nicoya Peninsula offers a variety of 4WD access and beautiful scenic routes.

From our hotel we will continue our route around the peninsula. One of the main attractions of this part of the tour is the possible passage through a part of the beach (depending on weather and tides), and several tracks that will allow us to enjoy roads only accessible for all-terrain vehicles.
